FIAT ABARTH PICTURES-SMALL STYLISH CAR

GRANDE PUNTO ABARTH PICTURES

My Fiat Palio 1.2 Elx 2002 Model

imageHi Folks.. I am proud owner of Fiat Palio Car. I bought my car before 2 years back which i feel i am having a very pleasant & peace of mind about my car & my driving style.

Comfort

Wow.. It is great!. I love to ride my car because of its comfort level that it is delivering. I am taking it for a very long drive from Chennai to Bangalore on NH roads very often 18 months back. I had a very pleasant ride which made me sleep due to the A/C which is accompanied with. So I strongly believe on its suspension. It was well designed.

Interiors

Hmmm.. What can i say about this.. As you all know about this cars interiors which has launched many years back. But i personally think it has some good stuff inside the car. Lets see what it is

  • Good Looking Dashboard
  • Nice Gripped steering
  • Comfortable seat for driving
  • Pedals are well reachable
  • Mirrors

Hood

The powerful 1242cc with 4-cylinder in-line with 2 valves per cylinder. it well built to drive in the city or outside. If it is well maintained as what i did you should never get problem on the engine side.

  • Regular Check-up on Oil, Brake Oil, Brake Pad & consult with your mechanic on further details
  • Maintain your silencer sound without having any leakage
  • Regular Battery Check-up
  • Regular Check-up on Coolant. (If you are mixing yourself make it a point you mix at the correct levels)

Body

This is Unique. So nothing to compare with this awesome machine. Now what i can say is keep a distance away from traffic which you will get rid of scratches or major damage on your car's body. So polish once a month & make a point you clean the body some fixed intervals (For Ex : At-least once in 2 days). Now you have various level of polishing & other stuff available in the market.

Tires

Yo Yo... Our Young & Crazy fellas buy their car tyres to bigger numbers than provided by companies standards show off before the crowd. But this does not help for those who shell out money on these. for this they can make more beauty on their cars body. But now-a-days we all prefer to go for a tubeless tires for which everybody recommend those. I already grabbed one to my car some days back with the same old company rims.

Sound System

Many people have their own choice to have their sound system and must be be great to listen to their favourite music. Many companies offer quality & professional music system to be installed on your car. I always think they are lot but i cant specify any thing over here. Now a days many people have LCD Screens compatible with DVD players to listen music or watch their favourite movies. Adding woofers is such a great idea for the youngsters but the battery just drains very soon as you compare it to a normal music system. Tweeters ouch!! makes lot of screeching sound which goes along with a great bass speakers which exactly matches with the sound. So be sure you wanted to add subs on your car ?

Modifications

Lets view some modification tips if you are ready to shell out money

  • FFE (Free Flow Exhaust)
  • Side Skirts (1 + 1 (Front + Rear) & (1 + 1) (Left + Right))
  • Air Filters
  • Engine Oils
  • Music System
  • Xenon Lights
  • Neon Under Light
  • Carbon Hoods
  • Spark Plugs (Iridium's)
  • Alloys
  • & Much More....

As far as i concerned i feel its a great car & i am happy to own it.

Thanks To Fiat for its wonderful creation.

2008 GeigerCars: Dodge Viper

The true elemental force of the New World, the very essence of power, the snake with the sharpest bite, are just some of the headlines attempting to sum up the unmatchable strength of the Dodge Viper. The crew at Karl Geiger’s Munich headquarters for US Car Imports has opened a new chapter in the history of Dodge Viper. The 2008 Version of this impressive seller has been newly granted the TÜV seal of approval. This snake has all the attributes needed to leave all others behind in the dust.

SEMA Preview: Rossi 66 melds Corvette C2 looks with C6 hardware

There is a trend in the works that takes a modern Corvette chassis, jettisons the stock fiberglass bodywork and adds a new shell that mimics the look of an older, classic 'Vette. We have seen Classic Reflection Coachworks' take on the '62 'vert with C5 underpinnings, and now a company by the name of Blue Fusion has tackled the iconic split window. One problem: their press release continually refers to the 1966 split window, which doesn't exist as the only year the two-piece rear glass was produced was '63. But, let's not let silly little things like facts get in the way. The resultant Rossi 66 cribs the workings of a modern C6 Corvette and adds a unique Sting Ray look.

Blue Fusion plans to debut its Rossi 66 at the upcoming SEMA event in November, assuming that the company is able to find the funding it needs to actually produce its first car. So far, all we have to look at are the renderings below, though we can clearly see that the '63 body looks much better grafted onto a modern platform than the '62 does. We'll see if it makes an appearance in Sin City later this year.

2008 Wolf Ford Kuga

With the Ford Kuga, the Cologne-based automobile manufacturer once again presents a car from a still booming vehicle class: a compact SUV. The Ford Kuga is an emotionally and technically perfected vehicle which can now even be further enhanced by the exclusive Wolf styling programme. The Ford specialist already devised a power enhancement which improves the serial performance from a standard 136 hp with 320 Nm to 158 hp with 375 Nm. The (German) retail price is 795 euros. The Wolf Race rims measuring 9 x 20“ ET40 in a silver design with high-grade steel lining of the outer rim are not only elegant, but also sportive. The set comes with 275/30 R20 Pirelli tyres. The overall price for the light alloy rim set by Wolf is 2,850 euros (Germany). The Wolf sport springs which lower the car by 40 mm render optimal road holding and can be obtained at any Ford dealer or directly at the company Wolf Racing Neuenstein GmbH & Co. KG for 199 euros (Germany).

The light alloy rim programme for the Ford Kuga is also available in the measures 8,5 x 18“ and 8,5 x 19“. The light alloy rims which were exclusively developed by Wolf stand out by their lower weight compared to the serial rims. This does not only reduce the unsprung masses and renders more comfort, it also minimises the fuel consumption, as every additional and unnecessary load leads to a higher total weight and therefore also to a higher fuel consumption. The light alloy rim programme by Wolf is available in various surface finishes. The complete Wolf styling programme can be directly ordered from Wolf Racing, Neuenstein or from your local Ford dealer.

Corvette ZR1 Cancellation Rumor

The rumor weed is abroad everywhere, and sometimes it can spread like crazy. This appears to be one of those times. The DigitalCorvettes.com forum posted a note earlier this day saying that Corvette ZR1 production has been halted (Bowling Green is shut down this week, so no Vettes are being built at the moment) and suggesting that the ZR1 may be cancelled. A post on dealer Rick "Corvette" Conti's blog, linked in the referenced DigitalCorvettes thread, added to the intrigue. Autoblog.com has contacted GM's Terry Rhadigan, who handles global communications for the Chevrolet brand. We presented the DigitalCorvettes link and asked for an official response. His was very clear: "Not true."

2009 Dodge Charger Cop Car Gets More Power

The boys in blue will be happy to know that a new, more powerful interceptor has just hit the streets. Just like the civilian version, the 2009 Dodge Charger police car benefits from Chrysler's tweaked 5.7-liter Hemi V8 engine that produces 368 HP and 395 lb.-ft. of torque, or 28HP and 5 pounds of torque more than the 2007 model. As before, departments with a lower budget have the option of the basic version that gets a 250 HP 3.5 V6 engine.

Compared to the civilian version, the cop-spec Dodge Charger's features include performance-tuned steering and suspension, heavy-duty seats to accommodate fully equipped (or...fully-sized) officers, a column-mounted shift lever Load-leveling, height-control shock absorbers and a severe-duty cooling system.

Rolls Royce Sales up 42.8%

Credit crunch, what credit crunch? Maybe for us, but not for the rich and richer. While most automakers are in the process of tightening their collective belt, Rolls Royce is seeing its sales soar this year and it's getting ready to hire more workers to keep up with demand. Last month the British brand delivered 129 cars which represents growth of 7,5 percent compared to the same month in 2007. From January through September of this year, BMW Group-owned Rolls-Royce has delivered a total 827 vehicles to customers, achieving a gain of 42.8% over the previous year (579 units).

Commenting on the economic situation (we call it meltdown), Rolls Royce CEO Tom Purves said: “We’ve had a very good year. Nobody’s immune, and we certainly don’t think we’re immune, but we do think we have a certain degree of insulation.”

Dodge TriChrage: Two Door Charger

Force Performance answered the question no one asked: what would a two-door Dodge Charger look like? Despite this, the TriCharger does offer several useful modifications.

The engine was replaced with a new HEMI V8 engine featuring FAST XFI Engine Management Twin GT40 turbochargers and a Magna Charger Supercharger Custom EFI Blower Intake. Due to these components the car was named TriCharger. For better stability the car features a lowered suspension while in order to stop in time a new set of Brembo brakes were added. Although there is no official word about production or pricing, it may just be easier to put the engine in an established (similar-looking) Dodge product, like maybe the CHALLENGER.

BMW May Be Planning X4

BMW has been aggressively expanding its vehicle offerings, and like most other automakers, crossovers make up the majority of additions. Earlier this year, team Bimmer added the X6, and with the X1 concept unveiled in Paris, mild-to-wild CUVs seem to be the focus for the boys in Bavaria. Automotive News is reporting that the SAV love will continue next year when BMW unleashes the X4. Design elements are said to come from the larger X6, which is to say that it'll probably look like a really tall hatchback. The X1 concept and the production X3 are based off of the excellent 3-Series platform, and we're guessing the X4 will also don the sharp-handling underpinnings.
If this is what BMW needs to do in order to remain the world's top-selling luxury automaker, we're not so sure it's worth the trouble. The X1 will probably sell relatively well, but it will do so with underwhelming sheet metal. An X4 based off the X6 sounds like an even worse proposition, but then again, we didn't think the X6 was a bright idea either.

The Maserati GranTurismo MC Concept unveiled

The Modenese company’s new concept car was presented during the Maserati Day, an event held at Monza

Chief Executive Harald Jacob Wester presented the GranTurismo MC Concept to a crowd of journalists and guests who had gathered at the temple of speed. They had come to evaluate the technology that could be applied to standard production models or to competition cars.

The GranTurismo MC Concept is based on the GranTurismo S launched at Geneva. However, the Reparto Corse technicians made significant modifications aimed at lightening the car and improving its dynamic performance.

The GranTurismo MC Concept features a remapped engine, a change made specifically to up the performance while also keeping a steady eye on reliability.

The engine's power was increased to 330.9 kw (450 bhp) while the torque climbed to 510 Nm, on tap at 4750 rpm.

The styling on the GranTurismo MC Concept combines the elegance of a roadgoing car with the aerodynamic touches needed to improve downforce on the track. These elements lend the bodywork a more aggressive look.

The Monza event was also a chance for the MC12 Versione Corse and the Vitaphone Racing Team's MC12 GT1 to take to the track. Those lucky enough to be there were in for a treat as Andrea Bertolini and Michael Bartels turned on the style.

Lamborghini made it official and released all the information on the Lamborghini Estoque that will have its premiere tomorrow at the Paris Auto Show. The Lamborghini Estoque is a 4-door and 4-seater sports sedan that's 5.15 meters in length, 1.99 wide, 1.35 meters in height and has a wheelbase of 3.01 meters.

The name of the Lamborghini Estoque comes from a rapier (sword), approximately 90 centimeters long, used in a bull fight by the Matador.

The Lamborghini Estoque aims to be a sports car and a relaxed Gran Turismo that's able to carry both 4 people and their luggage.

The Lamborghini Estoque promises refined power delivery, razor-sharp precision handling and a "meaty engine tone".

The Lamborghini Estoque features a front mid-engine, permanent all-wheel drive and a precision-tuned chassis. Unfortunately the company did not release any figures regarding the powerplant used for the new concept.

AUDI

Gran Turismo 5 Prologue is about to get a pretty nice upgrade. The next time you start up your Playstation 3, an update will be available for GT5 that will add the GT by Citroen, Ferrari's new California and the Lotus Evora. Lotus fans got a sneak peek into the Evora's GT5 inclusion at the British Motor Show a few weeks back, and now everybody gets to join in on the aluminum-intensive fun. It's always been a pleasure to strap yourself in a Ferrari, in real-life or virtually, and the California is the latest Italian Stallion around, so its addition is a foregone conclusion. The biggest news, though, is the new French GT, which it's maker says was "a partnership between Citroën and Polyphony." In the game-realm, the new GT concept will be powered by electrons generated from a hydrogen fuel cell. Even if the technology isn't quite ready for prime time in your driveway, it can always make waves in digital form, running around various race tracks while emitting nothing but water.

New: Volkswagen Golf GTI

Since the debut of the first and the discontinuation of the fifth generation, more than 1.7 million buyers made the GTI to the world’s bestseller. Now the new GTI is at the ready: at the Paris Motor Show (4th to 19th October 2008) Volkswagen will be demonstrating the design study of the new Golf GTI at its world premiere.

The GTI suspension with a new electronic limited-slip diff (XDS) defines curves and traction in a completely new way. A GTI with a top speed of 240 km/h that with its 155 kW / 210 bhp strong turbocharged engine is even more fun and, on average, only uses 7.5 litres.

The sixth generation Golf GTI will go into series production in the spring of 2009 – as usual with a unique connection between sporty suspension and agile engine. The engine develops already at 1,800 rpm a maximum torque of 280 newton metres. The sprint from 0 to 60mph is achieved in 6.9 seconds. A stand-off between wind resistance and output occurs only just at 240 km/h.

Lowered by 22 millimetres and equipped with a new sports suspension, the springs, shock absorbers and rear anti-roll bars of the design study have been completely reworked. Furthermore, the optional adaptive chassis control DCC feature will also be available for the future GTI.

"We wanted a purposefully clear GTI design. A car that has power but also style," summarises the Volkswagen AG's chief designer Walter de’Silva. The design study of the sixth generation presented in Paris blends in both style elements of the GTI icons. Details like the typical honeycombed radiator grill and the V-shaped bonnet, stretching over the head lights, contribute to the GTI V. The clean and horizontal structure clearly originates from the GTI I. Because of the styling as well as the underlining horizontal graphic of the front section the Golf GTI design study appears visually wider (1.78 meter), lower (1.47 meter) and more dynamic than any other car in its class.
